We have recently commenced a road project in the townland of Brackahargh, Caherdaniel, Co. Kerry for our client Kerry County Council. The project includes the upgrade and widening of a 1.2km section of the N70 National Secondary Road and construction of a new cycle way. The project has many challenges including the removal of a 9m high shear rock face and the excavation and replacement of peat to depths of 4m below existing ground level. Works on site have progressed very well since mobilising in early November and the site team are doing an excellent job in challenging weather conditions. They are shutting down tomorrow for a well-earned break for Christmas.
