On behalf of the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Sorensen Civil Engineering Ltd are working on a New Slipway located on Dinish Island, Castletownbere, Co Cork. The works entail a cast in-situ reinforced concrete deck supported by precast concrete beams, placed on driven circular steel piles. The piled slipway structure is encased by precast concrete facing panels. The works are progressing well with the completion of the pilling works last week and the commencement of the installation of the precast panels this week.
