Sorensen recently completed the Smooth Point Pier Extension project at Killybegs Fishery Harbour Centre, which we delivered on behalf of our client, the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine.

The project involved the completion of a new 120m long quay development at Smooth Point, aiming to alleviate congestion during the peak fishing season. The works also included dredging in excess of 10,000 cubic metres of rock from the bed of the harbour.

Well done to the site team for co-ordinating the works safely in a very restricted and challenging works area. Thank you to the Employer’s Representative and Designer, Doran Consulting Engineers for the collaboration on this project.
