General Description
This project, carried out for Limerick County Council, involved the installation of an engineered capping of 2 existing cells, including gas collection and leachate collection, extension of the existing leachate lagoon on their working landfill at Gortadroma, Co. Limerick.
Features
- Installation of 32,000 sq.m of pozidrain gas and drainage collection geocomposites, gas control blankets, LLDPE liners & general geotextiles
- Installation of gas collection wells and HDPE gas collection and drainage pipelines
- Placing of 27,000 sq.m of low permeability subsoil capping
- Top soiling and grass seeding
- Construction of an ESB substation
- General site works
- Construction Validation Reports prepared in compliance with EPA Landfill Site Design Manual (2000)
