General Description
This project involved the construction of 12Km of sewer gravity & rising mains and a 200m long crossing of the river Shannon.
Features
- 12Km of gravity and pressure sewer pipe lines
- 200m long crossing of the Shannon river
- Trench excavation by long-reach excavators mounted on a floating pontoon
- 6 no. High density polyethylene (HDPE) pipelines (2 rising mains, 2 water mains & 2 service pipes) were welded on shore, inserted into specially constructed steel frames, floated into position and sunk using the steel frames as ballast
- 2 new RC Reservoirs & refurbishment of 3 existing reservoirs
- Pumping station
