General Description
The N22 road improvement scheme marks the completion of a further 3.94km of National Primary Road improvements in County Kerry. It is the second section of the N22 to be completed between Tralee and Killarney, the two largest towns in the county. The link between Tralee and Killarney is of national strategic importance as both urban centres have together been identified as a Linked Hub in the National Spatial Strategy for Ireland 2002 – 2020. The N22 links Kerry with Cork and is of vital importance to the economic well being of the country.
